Thanksgiving Weekend 2002
After a sumptious Thanksgiving
dinner at Gretchen and Andy's, Emily, Fred, and I joined Marsha
at her cabin near Fredericksburg for the rest of the weekend.
|

Thanksgiving is Brian's first day off since he joined the army.
He's stationed in San Antonio now, so he got to have a family
Thanksgiving with us in Austin. |

Fred, Fred, Linda, Andy, Brian, and Gretchen are at the main
table; Emily, Marsha, and I eat at the breakfast table in the
kitchen closer to the food. |

Brian is not the only one who comes back for seconds,... |

...as is evident in the after-dinner photos. |

Marsha, Emily, and I pause on the porch of Marsha's cabin before
we set out on our bikes. |

Fred's telephoto lens can have the effect... |

...of exaggerating hills, but... |

...this shot of Fred is without benefit of telephoto, and the
hills are still there. |

Even with the cold wind, we enjoyed riding these back roads... |

hill... |

after hill... |

after hill! |

Of course there were frequent photo stops. |

...for llamas... |

....and mystery animals. Another of this family had horns like
a moose. If anyone knows what they are, let us know. |

Back at the cabin, Emily enjoys the rewards of a good ride
Dr. Pepper and a hearty sandwich. |
